Angel Glow
This is a unique tutorial that teaches you to add a very warm glow to each image, making it suitable for professional prints and much more.
1. First we start off with this picture of a person, but any picture can be used even though it is not a person.
2. Now duplicate the layer Layer > Duplicate Layer > Ok and change the name of the layer to glow. So now you should have two layers.
3. While having the second layer selected, advance to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and set the settings to the following.
4. Now here is where the magic starts to happen! Set the Blending option of the second layer from ‘Normal’ to ‘ Soft Light’ and you should have something that looks like this
5. Finally, Flatten the layer Layer > Flatten Image and then go to Image > Adjustment > Brightness/Contrast and adjust the brightness and contrast to your personal liking. It will bring out the glow in the picture depending upon how much glow you want.
6. Here is the final image that I ended up with. What a huge difference and a professional effect. Now you don’t have to pay glamour shots for pictures you can touch up at home!
