When you incorporate shadows with text it gives your text a unique outlook. Make use of the following tip to create text effect with shadows. 
 

• Open a new file with the measurement 200 pixel width and 40-pixel height. Use the type tool to create the text. Use any typeface for this effect. Turn off the transparency option by going to the preserve transparency checkbox. Now, with the text still selected, apply the Bevel filter, using the Button Preset.
• Photoshop has its own text properties option. By selecting the text properties, you not only can add shadows to the text but also can create multiple effects for the text. The filters are available with the adobe program, also the filters can be added, as they are easily available on CDs.
