Signature Creation
In this tutorial, we will show you how to make an amazing signature based only on using the image of your choice.
1) First we will start off with our base image. I chose Star Wars as my theme of choice but obviously you may chose anything.
2) Now that we have our base image, it’s time to do some match. Figure out if there are any restrictions on signature size depending on where you use the signature. In this case we will pretend that the signature limit is 400 pixels wide by 150 pixels tall. So we will create a new canvas by these dimensions. It doesn’t matter if it will be transparent or not for now. Now paste the base image into this window. You will notice that you can move it around within it since it is smaller than the base image. Move it till you see something you like as a signature then flatten the image by going to layer>flatten image. This is an example of what I got.
3) Now that we have our image, let’s add some better effects. Duplicate this layer and then give a gaussian blur filter effect at 1 pixel like this,
4) Once the second layer is now blurry, in the layer style click on ‘normal’ and change it ‘color dodge’. Flatten the image and now it should look like this.
5) As you can see we’re almost done. Now the most important part is creating a border around it. It’s actually the easiest process. Duplicate the layer and then go to it’s blending options. Click on stroke and make sure the color chosen is black, the pixel number should be at 1, and the direction should be inside. Accept these settings and flatten. You’re done! You can see that it looks a lot better now and signature like. If you want to go further, add some text in your own style. This is something which I came up with, with even more effects but you can do as much or as little as you like.
