Make rain: photoshop technique
This photoshop tutorial will show how to you create rain effect an an exiting photo. I have demonstrated how to use adobe photoshop software cs2 tools like Image Adjustments, curves and blur etc.
The Rain effect Tutorial shows how to add
rain to an object.
1. Open an image.
2. Press CTRL+J to duplicate
the background layer.
3. Go to Image > Image Adjustments > Curves
option.
4. Apply a settings to give the image a dark rainy day appearance.
 
5. Press Shift+Ctrl+N to create a new layer and name
it rain.
6. Fill the rain layer with White.
7. Goto Filter > Noise > Add Noise option.
8. Apply a settings.(Amount=10, Distribution=Gaussian,
Monocromatic=Selected)
9. Select Filter > Blur > Motion
Blur option.
10. Apply the settings.
11. Now Go to Image > Image Adjustments
> Levels option.
12.Apply a settings to the level.
13.Change the mode to “Screen”
of the Rain layer.
14. To double the amount of rain in the picture,
press Ctrl+J to copy the “Rain” layer and press
CTRL+T to pull up the transform handles.This is my final
result.
