Learn to engrave or etch a surface
My photoshop instructions on how to engrave using photoshop
Lets learn couple different things in this photoshop tutorial like
creating fire and flames. Learn how to etch or engrave s surface or
a background.
1. First of all to open a new Document. Go to Menu
select File > new and then a new document will appear.
In the new Document type the name of the document width = 300 pixel
, height = 300 pixel and resolution = 96.012 pixel/inch.
You can do it with the file new > then press Ctrl+N.
2. Now create a new Layer1 to create a new layer click
on the icon that is
shown with the red circle in the Layer
window or press Shift+Ctrl+N.
3. Now fill the color code #6E785F to fill the color
press Alt +Backspace.
4. Now her select Filter > Noise > select Add Noise.
5. In the Add Noise select Amount-5.41% / Uniform / Monochromatic, click ok.
6. Now selct another new Layer2 in the Layer window.
7. Now here with the Lasso Tool create a New shape as shown below.
8. Now fill the color code #776C5F, then Deselect.
9. Now Double click on the Layer2 > Layer Style >
select OuterGlow Opacity-21% / Size-5.
9. Now select Inner Glow, select Opacity-75% /
Noise-35% / Choke-4%
/ Size-21px in the inner Glow.
11. Now in the inner Glow select the blend mode
Normal, and then you can choose the color by clicking
on the box which is shown with the red circle, and
then click ok.
12. Now the Image will look like this.
13. Now create New Layer3, and then create a new
shape with the Rectangular Marquee Tool, and
then fill the color code # 9B7C71, after that Deselect.
14. Now again create a New Layer4 and create a new shape
with the Lasso Tool, as you can see in the Image below.
15. Now select Gradient Tool From the Toolbar.
16. Here click on the box with the Blue circle to
activate the Linear Gradient, and then click on the icon
with the Red circle to get the list of the colors.
17. Now from here you have to choose color
which is clear with the Red arrow and circle.
18. Now fill the color with the Gradient Tool.
19. Now here give some Effect with the Smudge
Tool brush size-20 / mode-Normel
/ Strength-70.
20. Now give some more Effect with the Dodge
Tool Brush size-40 / Range-Midtone
/ Exposure-60.
21. Now Double click on Layer4 > Layer Style >
select Inner Glow with Opacity-80% / Noise -2% /
Choke-1% / Size- 16%.
22. Now select Outer Glow with Opacity-36% /
size-5px, and then click ok.
23. Now the Image will look like this.
24. Now here first select Layer3 and then select
Filter > Noise > Add Noise > in Add Noise select
Amount 6.86% Uniform / Monochrometic > click ok.
25. Now again select Filter > Artstic >
select Plastic wrap with Highlight-13 / Detail-8 /
Smoothness 2 > click ok.
26. Now here give some more Effect with
the Dodge Tool Brush size-30 / range -midtone
/
exposer-60 %.
27. Now here select Custom Shape Tool from the
Toolbar, and then click on the shape Picker which is
shown with the red circle to choose the shape, after that
choose the shap which is shown with another circle.
28. Now with the Custom Shape Tool create a new shape,
in the Custom Shape Tool select Ellipse Tooland then Right
Click to make selection, after that create a new Layer and fill
color#71825D. #939A84 with the Gradient Tool.
29. Now Right click > select Stroke.
30. In the Stroke select width-1px / white color and
location- center, and then click ok.
31. Now here press Ctrl+J to make a copy of the shape
and then press Ctrl +T, after that with the help of Mouse
make the corners of Transform section Round, press Enter key.
32. Final Image.
